TrueQuote is a one line <script> tag that you add to the HTML of your website. Installation is simple and shouldn't take more than a few minutes to get up and running.
Our Quote Engine works with "zero configuration" — once added to your website it appears immediately on your webpage, and can be configured to suit your design.
As a website developer, for basic usage, adding this single script tag is the only work you need to do to get our quote engine working on your website.
If you need more control over when, where and how our quote engine loads, we have advanced options for different scenarios.
Selecting boilers, filters, controls and adding prices are all done within a heating installer's TrueQuote account.
Additional options are available to personalise the quote engine, such as adding company logos, photos, and changing text and colours.
Heating Installers must be Gas Safe or Oftec registered and create a free account with TrueQuote to get started. Do not create an account on behalf of your heating installer — we do not verify accounts of website developers or marketing agencies. See the FAQs on our home page for more information on why not.
Once a heating installer's account has been verified, we'll send an email with a link to a personalised guide of these pages.
Our personalised guides contain the same instructions as the example below, except they replace the [INSTALLER-ID] with an actual Heating Installer Account ID so the script works correctly.
The simplest way to add our <script> tag is inside the <body> of your webpage, in the exact location you want our quote engine to appear. You could add it to a <section> tag, like this:
<script async defer id="truequote_script" src="https://truequote.co.uk/quote/[INSTALLER-ID]/js"></script>Adding our Quote Engine to your website is as easy as that — no more than a simple copy/paste of our script tag into your webpage.
Do not try adding the script above for testing — it will not work. Your personalised instructions give you a script tag you can test with. As you can see from the HTML, it is a very simple task.
